Things to do in the Lake District for couples

For those who want more than a checklist
Planning some time together in the Lake District? Whether you’re visiting for your wedding, an engagement shoot, or just escaping for a few slow days, these are some of my favourite things for couples to do. Relaxed mornings, beautiful walks, cosy food spots and a few adventures if you’re feeling brave.
The Lake District has long been a place for couples, it offers space that’s increasingly rare: room to slow down, to walk without rushing, and to be present with each other away from everyday noise.
While there are plenty of well-known attractions, some of the most meaningful things to do in the Lake District for couples are quieter and less structured. Moments shaped by weather, light, shared movement, and simply being somewhere beautiful together.

A Photoshoot Together (obviously my favourite)
The Lake District is one of those places that deserves to be remembered properly. A relaxed couples photoshoot lets you slow down, explore somewhere beautiful together, and come away with photographs that actually feel like you.
No awkward posing, just a wander, good light and the two of you being yourselves. My favourite work is environmental portraits this is where you are framed within the landscape. It takes the pressure of posing and looks incredible on your wall. Feel free to ask me more about this approach.
